James Shatz is currently Director of Technology at the Edwards Group, managing assets such as the Mahaffey Theater, Al Lang Stadium, Tampa Bay Rowdies, Sundial and The Club at Treasure Island.
He has been President of Mortgage Investors Corporation and employed with MIC since December 1995. He also owns and operates SPRides – the electric taxi service in Downtown St. Pete.
James is the Vice President of ALPHA House of Pinellas and has served on the Board of Directors since 2010. He is a member of the St. Anthony’s Hospital Foundation Board of Directors and serves on the Finance Committee. He is also a board member of Suncoast Hospice Foundation.
Previously, James served on the Board of Trustees of St. Petersburg General Hospital from 2008 to 2014 and was Chairman of Board in 2014. He has served as President of the Kipps Colony Estates Homeowners Association and the Board of the PYCC Master Association in Gulfport.
He was born on Long Island in 1961 and relocated to Tampa Bay in 1995. He was graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in 1982.
James has two daughters. Katelyn is currently attending Medical University of South Carolina School of Pharmacy. Ally is attending University of Central Florida.
